Latvian-capital real estate developer, general contractor and property manager Hagberg has announced a €6 million investment to continue developing the "Dzilnupe" rental housing village in Dzilnuciems, near Riga. The third phase will see seven residential buildings constructed, containing a total of 42 apartments ranging from 45 to 87 square metres, with six apartments in each building. Completion and handover are planned for summer 2027.

Once the third phase is finished, the "Dzilnupe" project will comprise 118 apartments in total. The company says the decision to proceed is based on strong, steady demand for rental housing set in a natural environment — occupancy in apartments built during the first two phases already exceeds 90%.

Design concept

The "Dzilnupe" village sits on the bank of the Dzilnupe river, next to the Boži reservoir, and its development concept relies on small-scale construction, extensive green areas and carefully planned use of the waterside territory. Every apartment is designed with private outdoor space — a balcony or terrace.

Alongside construction of the third phase, further landscaping of the area is planned, including expanded shared green zones, new recreation areas and upgraded infrastructure such as electric vehicle charging points. During the earlier construction phases, the forest floor on the site was already restored and more than 100 trees and shrubs were planted.
