Hakimi to face court over rape accusation
Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco star Achraf Hakimi is set to appear in court over a rape accusation filed by a 24-year-old woman in February 2023. The footballer denies the allegations and is currently playing for Morocco in the World Cup.

Achraf Hakimi, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Morocco national team defender, will have to face a court hearing over a rape accusation. The accusation was made by a 24-year-old woman who filed a police complaint in February 2023 in the Val-de-Marne department, southeast of Paris.
Hakimi has firmly denied the allegations. Currently, the footballer is with the Moroccan national team at the World Cup finals being held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Morocco played their first match, drawing 1-1 with Brazil, with Hakimi playing the full 90 minutes.
Morocco's next game is a Group C match against Scotland, scheduled for 1:00 AM Latvian time tonight. Their final group stage match will be against Haiti later. Hakimi continues to play at a high level despite the legal proceedings he faces.
