Harijs Cjunskis plays in his third game for Lugano

Latvian hockey player Harijs Cjunskis, who is 20 years old, appeared for Lugano for the third time this season. This time he spent only two minutes and 16 seconds on the ice. So far, he has not recorded a point in three games.

Meanwhile, playing for Bellinzona in a lower-tier Swiss league, Harijs has collected four assists in five games.

His brother plays elsewhere

Harijs's brother Roberts played as a forward for Lugano in 28 National League rounds across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, earning one goal and one assist. A long-time Lugano product, he now represents Sierre-Anniviers, the champions of Switzerland's second-strongest league level.

Latvians in Sweden and Kazakhstan

In Allsvenskan, Sweden's second-highest league, Uppsala's Almtuna beat the team from Visby 3:1. Latvian 19-year-old Bruno Osmanis, who has four goals and three assists in eight games, fired five shots on goal in about 14 and a half minutes and was given a penalty.

In the Kazakhstan championship, Karaganda's Saryarqa avenged an earlier loss to Rudny's Gornyak with a 4:1 win. Latvian defenseman Edgars Siksnis, who has three goals and 11 assists in 16 games, put one shot on target, and his plus-minus rating for the game was minus one.
