Tesla crashes into power pole in Kharkiv, killing National Guard soldier and passenger
A Tesla driven by a Ukrainian National Guard serviceman crashed into a power line pole in Kharkiv on the evening of September 5, killing both the driver and a female passenger on the spot.

Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) is investigating a road traffic accident in Kharkiv that killed a National Guard serviceman and a civilian.
What happened
According to the DBR, the crash occurred on September 5 at around 22:45. The serviceman was driving a Tesla along Heroiv Kharkova Avenue. Preliminary findings indicate the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a power line pole located alongside the roadway.
Both the driver and the passenger in the car died at the scene.
Investigation
DBR officers are currently carrying out urgent procedural actions to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy. A pre-trial investigation has been opened under Part 2, Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which covers violations of road safety or vehicle operation rules by a driver that result in a victim's death.
