Herlings' bike stalls but he still holds on for Dutch MXGP win
Jeffrey Herlings won both MXGP class races at the Dutch Grand Prix, overcoming a bike stall late in the second moto to secure the overall victory. In MX2, Camden Mclellan took the overall win, while both Reišulis brothers scored points.
Veteran Dutch rider Jeffrey Herlings delivered a dominant performance at the Dutch round of the MXGP season, winning both races in the premier MXGP class.
The second race turned tense when Herlings' Honda motorcycle suddenly stalled. However, his compatriot Kay de Wolf, who was riding right behind him, was unable to seize the opportunity and pass the leader. As a result, Herlings managed to hold on to his position and celebrate his second win of the day. Latvia's Pauls Jonass finished ninth in this round.
MX2 class
The MX2 class saw a different outcome. Liam Everts won the second race, but the overall round victory went to Camden Mclellan, who had already secured the win in the first race.
Among the Latvian riders competing in MX2 were the Reišulis brothers – Kārlis Reišulis finished fifth in this round, while Jānis Reišulis placed seventh.
The result marks another stage in the 2026 MXGP season, in which Latvian riders continue competing for points on the international stage.
