Russian drones struck a shopping mall in Kherson's Central district overnight on August 22, sparking a major fire that gutted nearly the entire building. No casualties have been reported.

A shopping mall in the Central district of the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson was hit by Russian attack drones overnight on August 22, according to Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Shanko said the drone strikes ignited a large-scale fire that spread across almost the entire area of the mall, leaving the building nearly burned to the ground.
Authorities reported significant damage to the mall's premises and property inside. Shanko's statement made no mention of any casualties.
Kherson, located close to the front line, has faced regular Russian artillery and drone attacks since the city's liberation in November 2022.
