Just last week, the WIRED Reviews team published its comprehensive guide to the best art TVs. One of the highlighted models is the Hisense S7 CanvasTV, which has garnered praise from the author. This TV features a matte finish and a bezel that mimics a picture frame, designed to display art when not in use.

Currently, during Amazon Prime Day, the Hisense S7 CanvasTV is offered at half off its list price, which is $100 below the lowest price ever tracked. The author, who owns the 50-inch size, notes that the picture quality is not competitive with high-performance screens, but that's not the point. Many people just need a TV that can show a game or stream YouTube without looking awkward in their room.

While the Samsung Frame was the first major player in this category and remains the best-known name, there are now several competitors, including TCL and Amazon's Ember Artlite. However, the author remains partial to the Hisense CanvasTV line. If you're looking for a discreet second or third screen for your home, this price is unbeatable. Additionally, a free bezel (frame) is included, whereas Samsung would charge $150 extra.

Although the TV is heavy enough to require two people for mounting, it can be leveled on the wall with the single-piece mounting bracket within an hour. It connects seamlessly to your Google account, allowing you to pull photos or choose from 1,000 pieces of art without a subscription. Hisense TVs generally feature intuitive controls housed in a brushed nickel remote and a built-in Google TV operating system.
