Four Ukrainian rescue workers were injured in the city of Khmelnytskyi while responding to the aftermath of an overnight Russian attack.

According to Serhii Tyurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, air defense forces shot down an aerial target over the regional center. Debris from the downed object fell and started a fire at one of the city's markets.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported that as rescue crews deployed personnel and equipment at the scene, a secondary detonation occurred. The explosion injured four rescuers, who were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

A total of 45 rescuers and eight units of firefighting and rescue equipment worked at the site to extinguish the fire and deal with its consequences.
