Croatia Secures Direct Spot in World Cup Knockouts with Win Over Ghana
Croatia defeated Ghana 2-1 to finish second in Group L and advance to the World Cup knockout stage, while Ghana also qualified as one of the best third-placed teams with four points.

Croatia's national football team earned a crucial 2-1 victory over Ghana on Tuesday, securing second place in Group L and a direct berth in the World Cup knockout rounds.
In the first half, Croatia dominated, creating several dangerous chances. Petar Sučić of Inter Milan scored with a powerful shot into the near corner to make it 1-0.
Ghana equalized in the 73rd minute after a set piece, when Derik Lukassen found the back of the net. However, ten minutes later, Luka Modrić's corner kick set up Nikola Vlašić, who restored Croatia's lead, sealing the win.
With six points from three matches, Croatia finished second in the group and will face the runner-up of Group K in the round of 16. Ghana, with four points, placed third but qualified as one of the best third-placed teams.
