Hotel Jūrmala SPA completes €1.2 million renovation of its spa centre
Hotel Jūrmala SPA has invested €1.2 million in renovating its spa centre, upgrading treatment rooms and equipment. The company also reported higher revenue and profit last year.
Hotel Jūrmala SPA, located in the Latvian resort town of Jūrmala, has completed a €1.2 million renovation of its spa centre. The project refurbished treatment rooms and modernised equipment, expanding the hotel's range of beauty, wellness and recovery services.
Hotel director Arne Kalbus says the spa and beauty industry has been developing rapidly in recent years, prompting the company to continuously track new technologies, treatment options and trends in professional cosmetics. He notes that the hotel has undergone significant changes in recent years, including renovated guest rooms and conference facilities and a new brand identity, with the new spa treatment centre marking the next major step in this development.
Focus on health and local residents
Ilze Briža, head of the new spa centre, says it was important to create a space where beauty care and relaxation go hand in hand with attention to health and wellbeing. Particular focus has therefore been placed on water treatments and balneotherapy, for which equipment has been fully renewed and modernised, as well as on physiotherapy and various recovery services. Briža adds that the goal is for the spa to appeal not only to hotel guests and visitors to Jūrmala, but also to become a place where local residents can regularly look after their wellbeing in their own city.
Financial results
Last year Hotel Jūrmala SPA posted turnover of €9.046 million, up 9.9% compared to 2024. The company's profit grew even faster, increasing 4.2 times to reach €288,681.
