Hyundai May Add Ioniq 4 and Ioniq 7 to Its Electric Lineup
Hyundai could launch two new electric SUVs, the Ioniq 4 and Ioniq 7, within the next 12–18 months. Nothing is officially confirmed; the reports rely on statements from company management.

South Korean carmaker Hyundai may expand its Ioniq family of electric cars with two new models over the next 12–18 months: the Ioniq 4 and the Ioniq 7. There is no official confirmation of either vehicle yet, but the British publication Auto Express says remarks from Hyundai's leadership point to such a plan.
Two new SUVs
The Ioniq 4 is described as a compact electric SUV that would sit in size between the Ioniq 3 and the Ioniq 5. The Ioniq 7 would be a larger, family-oriented mid-size SUV positioned between the Ioniq 5 and the Ioniq 9. Together, they could fill a significant gap in Hyundai's electric range.
What is known about the specifications
Production of the Ioniq 4 is expected to begin in 2027. It will possibly have an interior similar to that of the Ioniq 3, along with two battery options of 42 or 61 kWh.
Less is known about the Ioniq 7. It is believed that it will use 800-volt technology and will also be available with all-wheel drive.
A broader range
If both models are approved, the Ioniq line-up will become considerably broader, stretching from the compact Ioniq 3 to the large Ioniq 9, with two new electric SUVs added to the offering.
