Possible missile strikes in Volgograd: military plant targeted
Explosions were heard near a defense plant in Volgograd, Russia, overnight on June 27, with reports of a fire and airspace restrictions.

Russian Telegram channel Astra reported that eyewitnesses shared footage of a fire in Volgograd after a night attack from Ukraine. A missile danger alert was declared in the Volgograd region, and Rosaviatsiya imposed restrictions on Volgograd airport operations.
According to sources, the strike likely hit the defense plant "Titan-Barrikady". The enterprise is a key facility of Russia's military-industrial complex, producing launch systems, artillery, and components for missile systems such as the Iskander-M, Yars, and Topol-M. Since 2022, it has been under international sanctions for manufacturing weapons for the Russian army.
Denis Shtilerman, co-founder of the defense company Fire Point, also published a video of the explosions in Volgograd, commenting on the "seasonal migration of flamingos from Ukraine."
