National results

With more than 95% of ballots counted, the United List (AS) has secured 35.34% of the vote and could win 42 seats in the 15th Saeima — the best result any party has achieved in a Latvian parliamentary election since independence was restored (the previous high was 36 seats for Latvia's Way in 1993). Second place, with 13.08% and a projected 17 seats, goes to "Latvia First" (LPV), followed by "Sovereign Power/Union of New Latvians" (SV/AJ) with 11.69% and 14 seats. The National Alliance (NA) took 8.95% of the vote and 11 seats, the Progressives earned 7.73% and nine seats, while "New Unity" (JV) got 6.35% and seven seats. The Greens and Farmers' Union (ZZS), with 4.46%, is at risk of missing parliament entirely, having failed to clear the five-percent threshold.

Regional breakdown

In the Kurzeme, Latgale and Zemgale regions, counting of ballots at polling stations is complete, though tallying of added and voided votes continues. In Kurzeme, six of 11 seats could go to AS, with one seat each likely for NA, LPV, SV/AJ, the Progressives and JV. In Latgale, five of 12 seats would go to LPV, three each to AS and SV/AJ, and one to NA. In Zemgale, six of 13 seats could go to AS, two each to LPV and NA, with the remainder split among the Progressives, JV and SV/AJ.

In Vidzeme, votes have been counted at 271 of 273 polling stations; of 26 seats, AS could win 13. In Riga, which allocates the largest number of seats nationally — 38 — counting continues at three polling stations plus nearly 40 stations abroad, whose votes are added to the Riga constituency. There, AS currently holds 14 seats, SV/AJ seven, LPV six, the Progressives five, and JV and NA three each.

Record-low turnout

Election officials note that voter turnout this year was the lowest since Latvia regained independence, with only 51.8% of eligible voters casting ballots. Because results in several polling stations remain extremely close, the final seat distribution could still shift once all votes and corrections are fully tallied.
