Estonia's electricity exchange price keeps slowly rising, while Latvia and Lithuania see a drop
In the week of September 14-20, the average electricity exchange price in Estonia's price zone rose by 7.5%, while in Latvia and Lithuania it fell from 11.5 to 9.5 cents per kilowatt-hour.
During the week of September 14 to 20, the average electricity price in the Estonian price zone of the Nord Pool exchange rose by 7.5%, continuing a similar increase seen the week before.
The average weekly rate in Estonia reached 6.92 cents per kilowatt-hour, up from 6.43 cents the previous week.
Latvia and Lithuania see a decline
In Latvia and Lithuania, by contrast, the average exchange electricity price fell over the past week, dropping from 11.5 cents to 9.5 cents per kilowatt-hour.
Finland recorded the lowest average price among the countries mentioned, at 4.8 cents per kilowatt-hour.
It should be noted that these exchange prices do not include value-added tax or various fees and excise duties, which are added for end consumers and affect the final bill amount.
