16 drunk drivers caught on Estonian roads in one day
Estonian police detained 16 intoxicated drivers across the country in the past 24 hours. Driving under the influence can result in fines up to 300 penalty units, arrest, or license suspension for up to 12 months.

The Estonian Police and Border Guard Board announced on Saturday, July 25, that over the past 24 hours, officers stopped 16 drivers under the influence of alcohol in various regions of the country.
Authorities remind that driving while intoxicated is punishable by a fine of up to 300 penalty units, arrest, or revocation of driving privileges for up to 12 months. If the blood alcohol concentration exceeds 1.5 parts per mille, the offense is always treated as a criminal act, the agency emphasized.
