Four traffic accidents in Estonia in one day, children and teenagers injured in three

Estonia recorded four traffic accidents on Saturday, September 5, with children or teenagers injured in three of them. All the injured were taken to hospital.

Estonian police reported that four traffic accidents occurred within a single day on Saturday, September 5, and minors were injured in three of them.

Around 12:00, in the village of Tiirimetsa in Saaremaa parish, a 14-year-old girl riding a mini-moped collided with a Toyota Avensis driven by a 40-year-old woman. The girl and her 15-year-old passenger were taken to hospital.

Ten minutes later, at 12:10, in Väike-Maarja parish in Lääne-Viru County, on Pikk Street, a 55-year-old man on a bicycle rode into the back of another cyclist who had stopped ahead of him and fell. The injured man was taken to hospital.

Another accident occurred at 12:55 in Rakvere, on Võidu Street, when a 36-year-old man driving a Volkswagen New Beetle Cabriolet crashed into a Volkswagen Passat ahead of him, driven by a 61-year-old man. An 8-year-old boy who was a passenger in the New Beetle was taken to hospital.

At 17:21 in Tallinn, on Tondi Street, a 16-year-old cyclist began crossing the road and was hit by a BMW X3 driven by a 62-year-old woman. The boy was taken to hospital.
