Estonia's annual inflation accelerates to 3.6% in October
Consumer prices in Estonia were 3.6% higher in October than a year earlier, according to a flash estimate from the national statistics department published on 4 November.

Consumer prices in Estonia, a Baltic country and European Union member, were 3.6% higher in October than in the same month a year earlier. This follows from the flash estimate of the statistics department, published on 4 November. Annual inflation has therefore picked up compared with September, meaning price growth in the country is gaining speed.
Comparison with September
Prices also rose month on month: in October they were 0.56% higher than in September.
In September, annual inflation was 3.1% according to the flash estimate. After the data were revised, the figure turned out higher, at 3.5%. The gap between the first estimate and the revised figure was thus 0.4 percentage points.
What comes next
A flash estimate is a preliminary calculation released ahead of the final data. The statistics department will announce the final figures on how the consumer price index changed in October on 6 November. That will show whether the October figure stays at 3.6% or is revised, as happened with the September data.
