Estonia keeps parental benefit for working parents at current level
Estonia's parliament has passed urgent amendments to the maternity and sickness insurance law in its final reading, preserving the existing parental benefit rate for working parents. The benefit will continue to be paid at 75% of the previously granted amount.

Estonia's parliament has approved, in its final reading, amendments to the law "On Maternity and Sickness Insurance" that keep the parental benefit for working parents unchanged.
The amendments were classified as urgent and adopted without reducing the benefit's percentage rate. As a result, working parents will continue to receive parental benefit equal to 75% of their previously granted benefit amount.
The decision ensures that financial support for working parents is not diminished compared to the existing arrangement, keeping the current system in place following the passage of the amendments.
