Registered unemployment continues to rise in Estonia
The number of registered unemployed in Estonia has increased for the second consecutive week, reaching 39,377 people, while the unemployment rate remains unchanged at 5.6%.

Registered unemployment in Estonia has been rising for the second week in a row. According to the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, as of June 21, there were 39,377 registered unemployed individuals, up from 39,200 a week earlier. However, the registered unemployment rate remains steady at 5.6%.
The most difficult situation persists in Ida-Viru County, where the unemployment rate rose from 9.7% to 9.8% over the week. The county has about 5,875 registered unemployed, of whom approximately 2,600 live in Narva.
In Harju County, the unemployment rate stands at 5.4%, with the number of registered unemployed approaching 19,100. The lowest rate continues to be recorded on Hiiumaa Island at 2.8%.
