Estonia is sending 96 athletes and ten coaches to the European Cheerleading Championship, which will take place in Prague from July 3 to 5. The Estonian teams will compete in five disciplines.

The country will be represented by athletes from the Rapla Dance Studio, the TalTech cheerleading team, the D7 dance school, and the LifeDance Studio. Participants will compete in both dance and acrobatic cheerleading. All Estonian teams qualified for the European Championship at last year's Estonian national championship.

Belinda Beatrice Borodin, coach of the TalTech North Stars cheerleading team, noted that the team has been preparing for the European Championship for two years. "We have been preparing for the European Championship in Prague for two years. Our goal is to perform cleanly, confidently, and technically flawlessly, reflecting the work we have put in throughout this journey. We want to proudly represent Estonia and enjoy every moment on the field. I hope the young athletes leave the field feeling they gave their all, and that this outstanding experience makes us even stronger," said Borodin.

LifeDance Studio coach Kertu Altermann believes that participation in the championship is an important experience for young athletes. "I am incredibly happy to take a youth hip-hop team to the championship this year! I think the earlier athletes see and get to know the world of cheerleading, the more motivation they have to continue in this sport and achieve good results. Our goal is to fully enjoy the competition and show ourselves from our best side! We have been training since September and constantly improving the competition program to be ready for the championship," Altermann said.

More than 3,700 athletes will take part in the European Championship. The competitions for Estonian athletes begin on Friday, July 3, with finals on Sunday, July 5. At the 2023 European Championship, Estonian athletes won one silver and one bronze medal, and a year later, they added another bronze medal.
