Estonian Football Championship: Narva Trans Lose at Home to Levadia, Paide Beat Vaprus
In the 18th round, Narva Trans with a new head coach lost at home to league leaders Levadia (1:3), while Paide defeated Vaprus (3:1) at home.

On Saturday, July 4, two matches of the 18th round of the Estonian football championship took place. Narva Trans, under their new Spanish head coach David Campaña, played their first home game. In front of 405 spectators, they could not challenge league leaders Levadia, losing 1:3. For the visitors, Bubacarr Tambedou scored a brace, and Mark Oliver Roosnupp added another. The hosts got a consolation goal in the 90th minute from substitute Nikita Balyabkin. With the win, Levadia has 46 points, strengthening their lead, while Trans remains bottom with 10 points.
Meanwhile, Paide, with new Finnish head coach Mika Laurikainen working alongside former coach Tarmo Kink, defeated Pärnu Vaprus 3:1 at home. Paide took the lead in the 15th minute through Abdulrahman Badamosi, but Vaprus soon equalized via Matthias Limberg. Just before halftime, Daniel Luts restored the lead, and in the second half, Brazilian legionnaire Victor Hugo sealed the win.
Paide has 32 points and occupies fourth place. They are behind Flora (36), Nõmme Kalju (34), and Levadia. Vaprus is sixth with 23 points, level on points with Tartu Tammeka, who have two games in hand.
Earlier in the round, Kuressaare lost 0:3 to Flora, and Nõmme United lost 1:3 to Nõmme Kalju. The round concludes on Sunday with Tammeka facing Harju.
