Two matches between medal contenders were played on Sunday, 30 August, in round 25 of the Estonian football championship, and in both games the visiting side came out on top.

Tallinn's Flora, the reigning national champions, hosted Paide at A. Le Coq Arena and suffered a surprise 1:2 defeat, despite having opened the scoring themselves. Paide scored twice right at the end of the match to snatch the win, a result that pushed Flora down from third place in the standings.

In the other match, played in Tallinn, second-placed Nõmme Kalju led 2:0 at halftime on home turf against league leaders Levadia, only to eventually lose 2:3. Levadia's winning goal came in the second minute of second-half stoppage time, scored by Ghanaian forward Enock Otoo.

Following these results, Levadia, now on 59 points, extended their lead over Nõmme Kalju, who have 44 points, to 15 points. Paide and Flora follow next in the standings, both level on 42 points.
