Parent company of Estonia's largest milk producer plans to buy Rīgas piena kombināts

Falber Investments, the parent company of Agrone — Estonia's largest group of agricultural enterprises and raw milk producer — has signed an agreement to acquire the concern behind Rīgas piena kombināts (RPK), Latvia's largest dairy processing company.

Under the deal, the Estonian group would gain control of RPK, one of the most significant players in Latvia's dairy processing sector.

Agrone is known as Estonia's largest raw milk producer, and its parent company's interest in RPK points to ongoing consolidation in the Baltic dairy industry.
