Residents of Ikla, a small Estonian village near the border with Latvia, experienced an unusual incident on the evening of Tuesday, August 18. A middle-aged man from Latvia left strange writings on the village streets and behaved loudly, causing concern among locals.

Police response

Police were called to the scene and took the man away, sending him back across the border to Latvia. However, the resolution proved only temporary — shortly afterward, villagers spotted the same man wandering the streets once again.

No further details about the man's identity, the content of his writings, or any follow-up action by authorities have been made available so far.
