Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal (Reform Party) expressed condolences on behalf of the government to the family, friends, and close ones of US Senator Lindsey Graham.

In social media, Michal wrote that Graham was a good friend of Estonia and a strong supporter of shared values and principles. He noted that Graham's commitment to freedom and security will be remembered.

The prime minister highlighted Graham's contribution to developing Estonia-US relations, as well as his support for security and democratic values.

Graham's death became known on July 12. The senator was considered one of the most consistent supporters of Ukraine and strengthening NATO.

In December 2016, Graham visited Estonia as part of a US Senate delegation led by John McCain, who died in 2018.
