Estonia's "Mirror" show: an ambulance bill dispute and a €40 parking fine for a good deed

Estonia's Russian-language television channel ETV+ will broadcast a new episode of its program "Зеркало" (Mirror) on Tuesday, September 22, featuring two separate stories involving Tallinn residents.

Ambulance bill trouble

One segment follows Aleksei, a Tallinn resident who had to be taken by ambulance to the Lääne-Tallinn Central Hospital. He was required to pay for the trip, but the hospital was unable to reach him, so it brought in a debt collection company to handle the matter. The episode will look into how the situation arose and how it is being addressed.

A parking fine for helping a friend

The second story concerns Yuri, another Tallinn resident, who helps his acquaintance Maya get to medical appointments. They usually travel in Maya's car, and Yuri normally parks his own vehicle in a spot belonging to Maya. On one occasion, however, Yuri left his car on the roadside instead and was fined. The program will examine whether parking is actually prohibited at that particular spot.
