Estonian industrial producer prices up 3.8% year-on-year in June
Estonia's industrial producer price index fell 0.3% in June from May but rose 3.8% year-on-year, according to Statistics Estonia.
According to data from Statistics Estonia, the industrial producer price index in June 2026 decreased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, but increased by 3.8% year-on-year. Price growth has continued for the sixth consecutive month, the statistical office reported on Monday, July 20.
The largest impact on the annual figure came from higher prices for electricity and heat energy, fuel oils, wood products, and products of the wood processing industry. In manufacturing, prices overall rose by 2.6% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the decline in food industry prices continued – compared to June last year, they fell by 3.5%.
On a monthly basis, the index was most influenced by price declines in the production of fuel oils and wood processing. At the same time, prices increased for electricity and heat energy, metal products, and peat.
The export price index fell by 0.6% in June compared to May. Mining industry products, petroleum products, and electricity saw the largest price drops. However, over the year, export prices rose by 4.1%.
Import prices in June decreased by 1.3% compared to the previous month. The largest price declines were observed for petroleum products, agricultural products, mining industry products, and electricity. However, year-on-year, import prices increased by 7.3%.
