Estonian business newspaper Äripäev has released its annual rich list for 2026, once again placing tech entrepreneur Jaan Tallinn at the top. His estimated net worth stands at €10.318 billion, tied largely to the investment fund Ambient Sound Investments and the firm Metaplanet Holdings. Tallinn, who co-founded Skype in 2003, has in recent years also become a prominent figure in artificial intelligence development.

The list includes three billionaires overall, and all ten of the richest individuals are men. The top five remain unchanged from the previous year: alongside Tallinn are Wise co-founders Kristo Käärmann and Taavet Hinrikus, Bolt founder Markus Villig, and media and entertainment businessman Margus Linnamäe.

Overall wealth grows sharply

Äripäev reports that the full Top 500 list also showed strong growth, with the combined wealth of Estonia's richest residents rising by about a third over the year to reach €41.4 billion.
