Estonian ultra-cyclist Taavi Piller finishes 10th in 7400 km Nordkapp–Tarifa race
Taavi Piller completed the 7400 km distance in 30 days, 15 hours and 6 minutes, placing tenth among 54 starters.

The Nordkapp–Tarifa is one of the world's longest cycling races, requiring participants to cover the entire distance without any external support. This year, 54 athletes started.
Piller covered 7400 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 80,000 meters. The race featured extremely varied conditions. As the route progressed south through Europe, the heat became so intense that even ice packs could not keep body temperature normal. Consequently, Piller had to ride mostly at night.
The course passed through mountains. The highest point was Pico del Veleta at 3398 meters above sea level, while the lowest point was 211 meters below sea level.
