IKEA Latvia recalls several products over safety concerns
IKEA Latvia is asking customers to return a garlic press and several outdoor LED light strings due to identified safety issues. Products can be exchanged or refunded at any IKEA store without a receipt.

IKEA Latvia has announced a recall of several products, urging customers to stop using them due to safety concerns. Affected items can be brought to any IKEA customer service point, where buyers can receive a full refund or exchange the product for another one — no receipt is required.
Garlic press
One recall concerns the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press in black. The affected items carry product numbers 201.521.58, 305.781.89 and 601.636.02, with date codes ranging from 2411 to 2522. The issue is that small metal fragments can break off the press during use.
LED light strings
The second recall covers several outdoor LED light strings from the LEDLJUS, STRÅLA, SVARTTRÅ and UTSUND collections. Specifically, these are the LEDLJUS string with 24 lights in black, the STRÅLA string with 48 star-shaped lights, the SVARTTRÅ string with 12 lights in black, and the UTSUND string with 24 lights in black. The LED driver used in these products may not meet requirements for protection against water ingress, creating a risk of electric shock. The recalled driver model is ICPSH24-2-IL-1, with plug model SYK-02F. The affected driver date codes are 2138, 2141, 2148, 2209, 2215, 2224, 2231, 2236, 2320, 2326, 2332, 2336, 2347, 2409, 2413, 2421, 2423, 2424, 2426, 2434 and 2437.
IKEA is asking customers who own any of these products to check the date codes and return them to a store if necessary. More information is available on the IKEA Latvia website.
