Imants Lancmanis’ 85th Birthday Exhibition: New Works and Retrospective

Imants Lancmanis, the restorer of Rundāle Palace, art scientist and painter, opens a solo exhibition “Past in the Present” for his 85th birthday, featuring both a retrospective and newly created works.

At the end of July, Imants Lancmanis – the restorer of Rundāle Palace, art scientist and painter – will celebrate his 85th birthday. To mark the occasion, a solo exhibition titled “Past in the Present” has opened at the “Ola Foundation” cultural venue in Ķīpsala.

The display includes a retrospective selection of the artist’s oeuvre as well as new works created specifically for this exhibition. Lancmanis invites viewers to explore a world where stark contrasts coexist with an abundance of beauty.
