Bears Sought in Imanta, But None Found
Authorities searched the Imanta area after reports of a possible bear and cubs, but did not spot any predators, urging residents to remain cautious.

The Nature Conservation Agency (DAP) notes that the bear population in Latvia is increasing, making encounters in urban areas more likely. Yesterday, on July 26, reports were received from the Imanta area about a possible sighting of a bear with cubs. Emergency services promptly searched the area but did not detect any predators. Despite this, residents are still advised to be vigilant and exercise caution, especially when near forests or green spaces.
