Inčukalns volunteer firefighters receive additional fire engines
Ropaži Municipality has handed fire trucks it received from the State Fire and Rescue Service over to the Inčukalns Volunteer Firefighters' Association. The vehicles are intended for the volunteer post in Ropaži.

Ropaži Municipality has transferred fire trucks, which it had received from the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD), to the Inčukalns Volunteer Firefighters' Association. The association is a non-governmental organisation whose members volunteer to help the local community with firefighting. The stated aim of the move is to strengthen fire safety and public security in the municipality.
The municipality and the association are bound by a cooperation agreement. Under it, a volunteer firefighter post has already been set up in Ropaži, and the transferred vehicles are meant to support its work. If a volunteer post is established in Ulbroka in the future, the vehicles could also be used for its needs.
The municipality's explanation
According to the municipality, the work of volunteer firefighters and the equipment available to them help the area prepare to respond quickly to fires and other emergencies. When necessary, the volunteers support the State Fire and Rescue Service and assist residents.
The municipality describes the handover of the vehicles as a practical investment in volunteer work and the development of posts. Its goal is to improve the availability of firefighting assistance across the municipality, strengthen civil protection capabilities and promote the protection of residents' lives, health and property.
About the association
The history of the Inčukalns Volunteer Firefighters' Association began in 2013, when several men decided to join forces to help the local community.
