Inčukalns to host World Cup show jumping event for first time
From July 24 to 26, Inčukalns will host a World Cup show jumping event, gathering professional athletes and young riders from Latvia and abroad.

Inčukalns will host a significant international show jumping competition for the first time – a World Cup event. The competition will take place from July 24 to 26 at the “Jauno jātnieku skolas” sports center and is organized under the auspices of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).
The event, titled “CSI2*-W Inchukalns 2026,” will feature experienced athletes, young riders, and promising horses from Latvia and other countries. Over three days, several categories are planned, including CSI2*-W, CSI1*, CSIYH1*, and CSIJ-A. Special attention is given to young horse classes, where six- and seven-year-old horses will compete, fostering the development of future sport horses.
Chief judge Dainis Līvmanis notes that this is the only international show jumping competition of this level in Latvia this year, giving it special significance in the sports calendar and the development of equestrian sports in the country. The event is seen as a major contribution to sports tourism, attracting foreign visitors, teams, and fans.
The Sigulda municipality provides support to strengthen the region's recognition as an active sports and tourism center. The venue will be adapted to international standards with professional infrastructure, veterinary and medical services, and strict compliance with FEI horse welfare requirements.
Additional information about the competition program will be published on the “Young riders school” social media channels and website www.latvianhorses.lv.
