Indriksone: Smaller partners must also have influence in the next government
National Alliance board chair Ilze Indriksone says the coalition forming the next government must agree on cooperation arrangements that let smaller partners influence decisions too. She made the comments on Latvian Radio's "Krustpunktā" program.

Ilze Indriksone, chair of the board of the National Alliance (NA) and Latvia's Minister of Education and Science, says that as the next governing coalition negotiates its cooperation terms, it must ensure that even the smaller parties involved in forming the government have a real say in decision-making.
Speaking on Latvian Radio's program "Krustpunktā," Indriksone argued that the model for coalition cooperation should allow every partner, regardless of size, to genuinely participate in decisions and have a voice in shaping the government's agenda.
Her remarks come as talks continue in Latvia over forming a new government. Indriksone did not specify in the interview exactly how such influence for smaller partners would be guaranteed in practice.
