Online retailer Gruv has cut the price of the Lord of the Rings 4K Blu-ray trilogy to $49.99, close to the discount typically seen around Black Friday. The set includes both theatrical and extended cuts of all three films.
Online retailer Gruv is offering Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy on 4K Blu-ray for $49.99, undercutting Amazon's price and landing only slightly above the deep discounts usually seen around Black Friday.
The set includes all three films — The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King — in both their original theatrical cuts and extended editions, which together run more than 12 hours. New Gruv customers can also apply an additional 15 percent discount using a coupon code at checkout.
About the films
The trilogy was filmed together in New Zealand and released in theaters between 2001 and 2003, with one installment arriving each December for three consecutive years.
