Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Tuesday during a televised press conference attended by foreign diplomats that a new round of talks between Iran and the United States aimed at reaching a final agreement will likely begin on Friday. The talks, which will also address Tehran's nuclear program, will take place at a location yet to be determined.
Araghchi emphasized that the most critical issue to be resolved in these negotiations is ending the war in Lebanon, indicating its priority.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf electronically signed an agreement to end the war in the Middle East. The official signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday in Switzerland.
This new round of talks marks a further step towards a comprehensive final agreement between the two countries.
