Iranian Media: Tehran Yet to Make Final Decision on US Peace Deal
Iranian state media reported on Sunday that Tehran has not yet reached a final decision on the proposed peace deal to end the war with the United States, despite signals from US President Donald Trump and Pakistan that a deal could be reached within 24 hours.

Tehran Hesitates
According to Iranian state media, Tehran has not yet made a final decision on the proposed peace agreement that would end hostilities between the United States and Iran. This information emerged on Sunday, even though on Saturday US President Donald Trump and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had indicated that a deal could be signed within the next 24 hours.
Saturday's Optimism
Trump posted on his Truth Social account that "The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is open to all." Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif wrote on X that a deal was closer "than ever before" and that Pakistan was preparing for the electronic signing of the peace deal, followed by technical-level talks next week.
Qatari Delegation in Tehran
A Qatari delegation arrived in the Iranian capital on Sunday to continue negotiations. The Tasnim news agency reported that the delegation would "examine the latest developments related to the diplomatic process."
Deal Conditions
Any agreement hinges on Tehran agreeing to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil and gas transit chokepoint, and to end its nuclear weapons program. Trump said on Saturday that a deal would be a "wall to no nuclear weapon."
Warning
President Trump warned: "Hopefully, this process will all work out quickly, easily, and smoothly. If it doesn’t, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again."
