Police detain man for shooting at passersby in Irpin
A 47-year-old local resident was detained by Kyiv region police for shooting at passersby in Irpin on June 13. No injuries were reported.
Kyiv region police have detained a 47-year-old local man suspected of opening fire on passersby in the city of Irpin, Bucha district. The incident occurred on June 13. According to initial reports, an unidentified individual fired shots in the direction of people on the street. Police patrols and an investigative team promptly arrived at the scene. The suspect was quickly identified and apprehended. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. A criminal case has been opened under Article 296, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which covers hooliganism.
In a separate incident, in the Obolon district of Kyiv, a man fired a pistol during a road conflict, wounding his opponent in the abdomen. The suspect in that case has also been detained.
