Isaac Del Toro overcomes mechanical setback to win Tour de France 2nd stage
Mexican rider Isaac Del Toro won the second stage of the Tour de France in Barcelona on Sunday, becoming the second Mexican to claim a stage win after overcoming a mechanical issue.

Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates) overcame a mechanical problem and a prolonged wait to change his bike, launching a late attack to win the second stage of the Tour de France, an individual time trial in Barcelona on Sunday.
Del Toro outpaced his team leader Tadej Pogacar on the steep climb to the finish at Montjuic, with Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel taking third just ahead of Jonas Vingegaard.
Vingegaard moved into the yellow jersey after the stage, while Pogacar gained six bonus seconds at the finish to climb to second overall, just six seconds behind. Evenepoel is now third, 15 seconds off the lead.
Teenage French prodigy Paul Seixas, aged 19, finished in a group of nine riders three seconds back and sits sixth overall at 42 seconds.
Del Toro becomes the second Mexican rider to win a Tour de France stage after Raul Alcala.
