Italian Serie A club 'Como' loans Latvian U21 striker to Serie C side
Latvian U21 international Davis Mezsargs has been loaned from Como to Folgore Caratese, which will play in Italian Serie C next season.
Italian Serie A club Como has loaned Latvian U-21 national team striker Davis Mezsargs to lower-division side Folgore Caratese.
Last season, Mezsargs played for Como's reserve team, scoring 16 goals in 25 appearances. He joined Como in early 2023 from Serie B club Frosinone, where he represented the youth team.
In the Latvian U-19 national team, the forward has played 12 matches and scored two goals, while for the U-21 side he has recorded six appearances and one goal.
Folgore Caratese competed in Serie D last season, winning Group B and earning promotion to Serie C, Italy's third-highest division. Mezsargs will continue his career at that level during the loan spell.
