The European U-18 Volleyball Championship concluded in Riga with Italy claiming the title. In the final match, the Italian team beat Turkey 3-0 (25:20, 25:16, 25:15), avenging their group-stage loss.
Top scorer of the final was Anita Tesariola with 19 points. For Turkey, Ajlina Ujsaldžana recorded 14 points.
Hungary won the bronze medal by defeating France 3-1 (25:23, 25:27, 25:20, 25:18). Gréta Pampuha led Hungary with 22 points, while Marie Hevena scored 15 for France.
In the semifinals, Turkey beat Hungary 3-1, and Italy defeated France 3-0.
Latvia managed only one win in seven matches and did not advance past the group stage, finishing 14th out of 16 teams.
The championship was hosted in Latvia and Lithuania, featuring 16 teams divided into two groups.
