Contents, a Milan-based enterprise execution platform that orchestrates AI agents, enterprise knowledge, and approval workflows for global brands, has acquired Balio, a Barcelona-based company specializing in corporate financial wellbeing. Financial terms were not disclosed. This is Contents' sixth acquisition and continues its buy-and-build strategy, which it has been executing across Europe for several years.

“Balio is our sixth acquisition, but more importantly it is another execution of a strategy we have been building for years. We acquire enterprise software companies with trusted customer relationships and accelerate them through our AI infrastructure. Balio has an exceptional team, strong customers and a product with enormous growth potential. Our role now is to help Balio scale faster than it ever could on its own,” said Massimiliano Squillace, Founder and CEO of Contents.

Founded in 2021 by Squillace, Contents is an enterprise AI orchestration platform that connects multiple LLMs, enterprise knowledge, and business workflows. It transforms proprietary company information into AI-powered business applications, helping global enterprises automate marketing, content localization, knowledge management, and other critical processes. Contents is model-agnostic, integrating Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Mistral. The company maintains a 100% enterprise client retention rate, generates over 500,000 AI outputs monthly, and serves top enterprises in fashion, retail, hospitality, and finance. Backed by Thomson Reuters Ventures, Alkemia Capital, SparkLabs, and Qatar Development Bank, Contents has raised €21.8 million to date, including a €5.9 million Series B extension in February 2026.

Balio was founded in 2019 by Sergi Benet, Guillem Roig, and Gerard Bernal. It helps companies provide employees with personalized financial education, tools, and guidance to improve financial awareness and wellbeing. By integrating Contents' AI infrastructure, Balio will enhance its product, personalize user experiences at scale, and expand multilingual capabilities. Balio's clients will gain access to Contents' broader capabilities, including content orchestration and localization, enterprise knowledge management, and automated workflows. Contents' international commercial network will support Balio's expansion beyond Spain into additional European markets.

“Joining Contents opens a completely new phase for Balio. We will continue to develop our vision and serve our clients with the same focus, while gaining access to advanced AI technology, international distribution and the resources of a larger European group. This will allow us to innovate faster, improve our platform and expand into new markets,” said Sergi Benet and Guillem Roig, co-founders of Balio. Contents plans to preserve Balio's brand, expertise, and market positioning while progressively integrating it into its technology and commercial ecosystem. Spain has emerged as one of Contents' most strategic European markets, with two of its six acquisitions now completed in the country.
