IUB Cancels Results of Song Festival Concept Competitions; Lack of Justification in Scoring

The Procurement Monitoring Bureau has annulled the results of two artistic concept competitions for the Song and Dance Festival due to lack of justification in scoring.

Preparations for the XXVIII Latvian Song and XVIII Dance Festival have reached the halfway point. Recently, the Procurement Monitoring Bureau (IUB) annulled the results of two artistic concept competitions for festival concerts.

The IUB deemed valid the objection from the second-place team, which argued that the scores were not justified – jury members had only indicated point totals without providing extensive reasoning. Time has now been given to correct this shortcoming.
