Ivars Raitums runs 107 km pushing a wheelchair; only AI tried to dissuade him
Latvian ultramarathon runner Ivars Raitums completed a 107 km race in early May, pushing Diāna Ponoskovu in a wheelchair. He says the only one who tried to talk him out of it was artificial intelligence.

Completing a half marathon, marathon, or ultramarathon is a major challenge for any runner. But Ivars Raitums never crosses the finish line alone – he runs while pushing a wheelchair.
He completed his first half marathon in this manner. In early May of this year, together with Diāna Ponoskovu, who was in the wheelchair, he conquered a distance of 107 kilometers. He shared this achievement on Latvian Radio's program "Monopols".
Ivars revealed that the only one who tried to dissuade him from this challenge was artificial intelligence. People, on the contrary, supported him. Such runs are not only a physical test but also a symbolic way to raise awareness about opportunities for people with mobility impairments.
