Publisher Dienas Bizness to modernise its media with Recovery Fund support
On 9 January 2025, the Latvian publisher SIA Izdevniecība Dienas bizness signed an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for Recovery Fund support for digital transformation. The project covers the publications DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI.
The Latvian media company SIA Izdevniecība Dienas bizness signed an agreement on 9 January 2025 with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) on support under the measure "Modernisation of media sector companies' processes". The funding comes from the Recovery Fund. The support is intended for the digital transformation of the publications DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI.
The agreement number is 2.2.1.5.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/004.
Project goal
The project aims to adapt these publications to modern media consumption habits. At the same time, it is meant to encourage interaction between the possibilities of digital and printed media.
Expected results
The project has two deadlines:
- by 30 June 2025, two digital solutions must be introduced, namely customer relationship management (CRM) systems;
- by 30 June 2026, two mobile apps and two Smart TV apps must be introduced;
- by the same date, the functionality of existing platforms must be expanded, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
