Publisher Dienas Bizness gets Recovery Fund support for digital transformation of its media

The Latvian media company SIA Izdevniecība Dienas bizness signed a contract on 9 January 2025 with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) to receive support under the measure "Modernisation of media sector company processes". Aim of the project
The project is meant to carry out the digital transformation of the publications DIENAS BIZNESS and DIENAS ŽURNĀLI. Its stated goal is to adapt to present-day media consumption habits and to encourage interaction between digital and print media.
Expected results
The first stage must be completed by 30 June 2025. By then, two digital solutions are to be introduced, namely customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
The second stage must be completed by 30 June 2026. During this period the company plans to introduce:
- two mobile applications;
- two Smart TV applications;
- expanded functionality of its existing platforms, including the Dienas subscription system (DAS).
