The State Police have completed the investigation into a criminal case that was initiated after a young woman was admitted to Kuldīga Hospital on September 24 last year. She was diagnosed with drug poisoning and, despite medical efforts, died.
During the investigation, police detained a man – an Indian national – and carried out extensive operations. As a result, more than 100 drug stashes were discovered. The law enforcement authorities have now referred the case to the prosecutor's office, recommending that the suspect be charged with illegal drug trafficking and murder.
