Exhibition 'Past in Present': Imants Lancmanis Turns 85

At the end of July, Imants Lancmanis – the restorer of Rundāle Palace, art historian and painter – will celebrate his 85th birthday. To mark the occasion, a solo exhibition titled 'Past in Present' has been opened at the Ola Foundation cultural space on Ķīpsala. The exhibition is dedicated to the artist's work, offering visitors a chance to explore his creations and artistic style.

Lancmanis is widely known for his contributions to the restoration of Rundāle Palace, but his own painting reveals a more personal side of his talent. The exhibition 'Past in Present' provides a glimpse into his creative world, where memories of the past and contemporary perception intertwine.

The exhibition opened in the second half of July and is accessible to all interested.
