At the end of July, Imants Lancmanis – the restorer of Rundāle Palace, art historian and painter – will celebrate his 85th birthday. To mark the occasion, a solo exhibition titled 'Past in Present' has been opened at the Ola Foundation cultural space on Ķīpsala. The exhibition is dedicated to the artist's work, offering visitors a chance to explore his creations and artistic style.

Lancmanis is widely known for his contributions to the restoration of Rundāle Palace, but his own painting reveals a more personal side of his talent. The exhibition 'Past in Present' provides a glimpse into his creative world, where memories of the past and contemporary perception intertwine.

The exhibition opened in the second half of July and is accessible to all interested. It is not only a tribute to the jubilee but also an opportunity for the public to become better acquainted with his works. The Ola Foundation venue provides a suitable setting to highlight the delicacy and historical richness of Lancmanis's art.
