The Suiti and their surrounding way of life have long attracted the attention of various artists. This ongoing interest became the basis for the idea of creating an exhibition that would reveal how painters have perceived and portrayed Suiti life and traditions. That idea has now been realized, giving visitors the chance to see the Suiti in various everyday and festive moments as artists have envisioned them.
Suiti in different scenes
In the exhibited works, the Suiti are shown by the church, at the market, engaged in daily household tasks, and dancing. In every scene they appear in their characteristic, colorful folk costume, one of the most striking features of Suiti culture and a frequent source of inspiration for artists.
